Below is a project I worked on as a Junior dealing with motion planning:
Each agent employs a
Rapidly Exploring Random Tree (RRT) algorithm to plan a route to the beacon based on the current knowledge of the world. In an unknown world, it is assumed there are no obstacles. The world is uncovered by short range sensors around each agent. Knowledge of the world is represented by a discretized bitmap collectively updated by the agents.
